Hi, my name's Paula Kellock and I am the Practice Manager at The Surgery Chorley. I joined the NHS in 2012 and have undertaken a variety of different roles including reception, secretary and administrator. I have two children, who are not so little now… my youngest being 17 and eldest just turned 20. The most recent addition to the family being my gorgeous labradoodle. I enjoy long walks with the family and of course my dog. I also love going to gigs to watch my eldest and his band and enjoy socialising in general.
I joined the NHS in 2012 as an apprentice and have since worked in a variety of roles within General Practice including reception and administration. I live in the local area and enjoy taking time out of work to travel to new places and experience different cultures. I love listening to music and attending live gigs and festivals all over the country.
Administrators assist the Practice Manager with the administration for QOF and other enhanced services. They are responsible for recalls for annual reviews, scanning on patient letters and read coding them onto the system. They are responsible for summarising new patient records.

Medicine's Co-ordinator/ Receptionist
Before joining Leyland Surgery I worked as a ward clerk in a local NHS hospital within the Bury area since 2004. I am looking forward to working in this new, developing GP practice to further enhance my knowledge and skills within a primary healthcare setting. I am married with 2 children and having recently moved into the local area I am enjoying walking our dog, reading, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
The receptionists are there to help you. Anything you share with them will be treated with confidence. They are trained to assist you with any enquiries you may have regarding the services which the Practice provides and help you with queries such as test results, or anything you are unsure about.
The receptionists act on the GP's instruction and therefore we hold a zero tolerance approach to abuse of staff.

I've been with the practice for 4 years as part of the reception team which has been great. I find I learn things every day and every day is a different challenge. Outside of work I enjoy walking our dog, spending time with my family and doing things with my two daughters. We especially like to go on walks and bike rides finding new places to grab some food along the way.
