Dr Gora Bangi (m)

MBBS (Merit). B-Med-Sci (Hons). MRCGP(Merit). DRCOG. DFFP. PG CERT Advanced Commissioning. PG Cert GP Education. M.Sc. (Taught) Healthcare Leadership (Merit).
I qualified from Newcastle University in 2000. Following an initial career in surgery I trained to become a GP and completed this training in 2005, joining a large practice in Leyland as a partner. I have subsequently taken on many managerial roles including practice based commissioning leadership and clinical commissioning leadership. I am Chair of the Chorley and South Ribble CCG and represent clinical commissioning at local, regional and national forums. I am also GP champion for the Department of Health and a trainer and an academic adviser at the University of Manchester.

Dr Christopher Scales (m)

MBChB. BSc (Hons). MRCGP

Having been born and bred in Kent, I moved north for university and graduated from Leeds medical school in 2003. But after meeting a Lancashire lass, I moved to the northwest, married and started a family and now have three beautiful children. I originally trained to be a surgeon specialising in orthopaedics and trauma but later realising I was happiest working in the community, changed my career to become a GP. This has given me a wealth of experience in both surgical and medical specialities and I have even spent time in Washington DC USA working for a trauma team. I continue to have an interest in surgery and have a regular minor operating list at the surgery. Outside of work I try and stay fit running but it’s mainly running after my three children.

Dr Hannah Wade (f)

MB ChB (Liverpool 2006) MRCGP DRCOG

I qualified from The University of Liverpool in 2006 and went on to train in and around Merseyside, completing my GP training in 2011. I have worked as a GP in Liverpool and Preston and am pleased to now join the team at Leyland Surgery and the Surgery Chorley. Outside of work my time is spent chasing after my three young children. I enjoy all aspects of working in general practice but have a special interest in women's health.
