We have now started booking patients in for the COVID 19 immunisation. Please do not contact the surgery - we will be contacting patients within the priority groups as per government guidance.
We are sorry for the inconvenience being caused for our patients trying to contact the practice by telephone recently. You may have found that trying to reach us first thing on a Monday morning has been particularly difficult.
Like many GP practices in Lancashire, our telephone system is run by a local NHS IT provider who are aware of these issues.
We want to assure you these problems have been escalated and explain that fixing them is not in our control, so please be patient with us whilst they are being addressed.
We have been told that over the next few weeks, a short term fix being put in place that should ensure our telephone systems can stay online during very busy periods. In the longer term, we know that upgrades are being made to the system that should fully resolve the problems.

COVID – 19 (Coronavirus)
As a practice we must continue to follow the strict infection, prevention and control measures to limit the risk of the virus to you as patients and to our staff. This means that where possible our staff and clinicians will remotely triage and assess your needs before determining if a face-to-face appointment is required. If your needs can be met safely via the telephone or video consultation then this will take place. If a clinician feels you require a face-to-face appointment then this will be arranged. We have been operating in this way since the start of the pandemic in order to continuing providing all patients with access to our services.
The current pandemic situation is challenging for everyone in different ways and we appreciate that the situation we all find ourselves in can be frustrating sometimes. Unfortunately a number of our staff have recently experienced foul and abusive language or behaviour from a minority of patients. This is not acceptable and we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour towards our staff - all of whom continue to work tirelessly during this pandemic. In line with our zero tolerance policy, if you are found to be abusive towards members of staff then appropriate action will be taken.
If you are asked to attend the surgery for an appointment please comply with government guidance by wearing a face covering. Book your appointment online
We offer a wide range of appointments with clinicians which are available to book online including (but not limited to) GP Consultations, Telephone Consultations, Blood Tests, Blood Pressure Checks, Ear Syringing, Health Checks, Diabetic Foot Screening, Depo Provera Injections, B12 Injections, Prostap Injections, Depixol Injections and Cervical Screening.
We proactively promote and encourage our patients to be active partners in their care by allowing full access to prescriptions, appointments, nominated chemist options and record access.
If you would like to be set up for Patient Access, and have not already created an account, then please attend the Surgery with two forms of I.D. One to confirm your identity, and one to confirm your address. If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to contact reception on 01772 529350.
